You THINK you are a believer, a real disciple of Jesus (Y’shua), the Messiah. Do you seek others approval? Then you can’t be. Who said so? Jesus (Y’shua).
John 5:44 Jesus (Y’shua) said: “How are you able to believe, when you receive your praise from one another, and do not seek the praise that comes from God alone?”
Dependency can be a delicate thing. It is important that we become strong in the faith, and while not isolating ourselves from other believers, we must also be on guard against false teachings. In our desire to fellowship with like believers we must also learn to not rely too much upon them and become dependent. This is why asking God’s Holy Spirit to teach us is so important. And reliance upon God has to be the main focus of our life. We must pursue and take hold of God and become dependent upon him alone and also to rely upon him for all our needs.
Put plainly, as Jesus (Y’shua) taught: Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything else works out. See Matthew 6:31-33.
In Matthew 15:13, Jesus (Y’shua) said: “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.”
“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.”
Proverbs 29:25
“Beware of anything beyond this. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
Ecclesiastes 12:12-13
